Create Your Garden Decks
Available Flower Gardens

Create Your Garden consists of decks of 3 1/2" x 5" cards featuring perennial plants and shrubs. On the front of each card is a beautiful full-color photo of the plant. The back of the card provides detailed cultivation information: bloom period, growing zones, size and shape, soil preferences, light requirements, a description of the foliage and flower color, and useful notes about caring for the plant. Each deck comes in a clear vinyl package suitable for storage.

All plants are hardy at least to zone 5 and most to zone 3 or 4. Bloom periods for these flower gardens range from early spring through autumn. The plants include a wide variety of sizes, shapes, textures and bloom types and have varying light and moisture requirements.

How to Use Create Your Garden Decks

The cards Create Your Garden decks are an excellent garden design tool to select the specific perennial plants, shrubs and foliage plants for a landscape design. Unlike a book with fixed pages, Create Your Garden® cards can be sorted and placed next to each other to see how the plants will look adjacent to each other in your flower garden.

Create Your Garden cards help you select plants that will thrive in the specific growing conditions at your site, considering light, soil and moisture requirements. Be sure to select plants with varying heights, form and texture for a pleasing result.

After you install your flower garden, Create Your Garden decks continue to be a valuable tool for how to care for your plants. The cultivation notes will help you know whether you need to deadhead flowers from your perennials, when and how to prune them, if the blooms make good cut flowers, whether they will attract butterflies and hummingbirds and other useful hints.
